In this paper, some basic issues on the theory of cooperative economics are discussed. As a result of that a plenty of realistic examples can not be explained by the self-interested model dominated by competition,we try to incorporate prosocial other-regarding preference into economic theories to build cooperative economics, for which we provide some empirical evidences in detail.Furthermore,we study some basic definitions such as cooperation, prosocial emotions and other-regarding preference, etc. We also discuss the basic theory and methodology of cooperative economics.

China's export trade is faced with dual pressure: the soaring of energy prices and the stagnation of the prices of industrial products in the global market. In this paper, the authors calculate the implicit energy cost in China's export products during 2002—2007,and find that the cost increased by 7.53 times with constant price of 2002.Consequently,the ratio of implicit energy cost in total export rises from 8.4% in 2002,to 21.2% in 2007.Through calculating the price elasticity, the authors find that the fluctuation of relative energy price in the global market is the key factor that drives up China's energy cost ratio, which greatly cuts the profit margin of China's export products, and deteriorates China's export quality. This result is mainly attributed to the current global pricing system,as well as the improper export structure in China.

As an important demographic phenomenon,Demographic Transition(DT) also has significant economic consequence. The author compares several explanations to DT from demographers and argues that most of them could be reconciled with a theoretical economic growth model, which have crucial characteristics, such as the reduction in fertility, the reduction in mortality, the age structure of the population, the formation and composition of human capital of the population and technological progress.Due to the complexity of DT,explanations from both demographers and economists have their limitation, that could be dealt with through future research.

This paper analyses the effect of the land supply restrictions and the consequent speculations on the housing price fluctuation in China. Methods of improved Stock-Flow model and panel data model are used. The influences of the speculations on housing price are compared under different land supply environments. The results indicate that land supply policies do have obvious influence on housing prices in China. When the restrictions are tightened, the speculations would cause bigger fluctuation in the housing market. It is concluded that the contractive and rigorous land supply policies in the later 2003 in China made the effect of the housing price controlling policies undesirable through the self-realization process of the anticipation and the speculation.

This paper systemically reviews theoretical research abroad on carbon tax policy, analyzes the environmental effect, economic effect, distribution effect and welfare effect of carbon tax policy, and compares the difference among the carbon tax policy, the energy tax policy and the emission trading institution in terms of the effectiveness of carbon reduction and implementing cost. This analysis indicates that the implementation of carbon tax policy should study international experience and research findings, together with the consideration of economic and social environment in China,to carry on further theoretical and empirical research. To institute a carbon tax policy,we should consider not only the multiple effect of policy itself, but also the interactive effect with other policies.

Inflation has been a serious problem for many countries since 1970s,which disturbs economic performance severely in every country. Many abroad scholars have conducted in-depth studies on inflation from macro level to micro level. This paper reviews and comments on research abroad on inflation since 1990s,especially in the 21st century, from the following four aspects: the welfare cost of inflation, inflation uncertainty, inflation persistence and inflation targeting,in order to summary the regulation experiences and study the responsive policy.

We provide a method, namely numerical simulation,to study the interactions between the tax-free threshold of individual income tax with employment rate, equity and social welfare.Basing on search and matching models, according to the tax rates and tax structure of individual income tax system in China,we compute a reasonable tax-free threshold by numerical simulation. The simulation result shows as follows: Firstly, the tax-free threshold in China can still be raised in a small degree;Secondly, raising the tax-free threshold can stimulate employment. If the threshold is raised from 2000 Yuan to 2800 Yuan, the employment rate will be increased by 2%.However,raising the threshold above 2800 Yuan will have little effect on employment;Thirdly, raising the tax-free threshold will impair social equity to some extend. Thus, considering social equity,a higher tax-free threshold is inadvisable. The individual income tax reform should not be emphasized on the tax-free threshold in China.Considering a household as the subject of taxation should be a key point and orientation of future reform.

Based on the background of the enactment of the new Financial Reform Act in the United States, meanwhile of financial regulatory reconstruction spreading out in the countries around the world, this paper aims to construct a financial safety net information system. This paper, with the application of the framework of information space theory, together with the incorporation of some relevant principles of complexity theory, analyzes the applicability between information space theory and the financial safety net.Specifically, this paper segments the information space into macro information space, meso information space and micro information space, provides their respective definition, and investigates their relationship with the financial safety net in terms of mutual applicability, absorptive capacity,decision-making capability and protective capacity.According to the result of the approach, this paper finds out that the relationships are positive, suggesting that the level of effectiveness of a financial safety net information system has a direct impact on the capability of preventing and managing banking crisis.

The United States(U.S.) direct investment in China has been growing up rapidly and the size of Sino-US trade has been continually expanding since 1990s.In the meantime, the imbalance of trade between the two countries has been increased year by year, and bilateral trade imbalance aggravates trade friction. This paper first provides the cause of Sino-US trade imbalance through analyzing various effect of the US direct investment in China.Furthermore,it concludes from empirical analysis that the relationship between U.S.direct investment in China and the Sino-US trade surplus is long-term cointegration, which means that the decisive factor of Sino-US trade surplus is U.S.direct investment in China. Finally, this paper makes related suggestions to alleviate the trade imbalance.

From October 23rd,2009 to March 15th,2010,a research group formed by 146 undergraduates and postgraduates from CUEB and Renmin University of China has been investigating both inflow places and outflow places in 19 provinces in China with the purpose of acquiring the employment status of Chinese migrant workers after the international financial crisis.Based on descriptive statistics, interactive classification analysis and correspondence analysis, the researchers come to the conclusion that it is still difficult for migrant workers to work flexibly and steadily, and acute structural contradiction of supply and demand as well as lack of migrant workers employment still exist.Legal rights of migrant workers are not protected properly and there is still a long way to go for migrant workers to acquire decent employment and equality of life and interests.Difficulties in solving migrant workers' employment issue come from policies and social system management. And transformation of ways to develop economy, which is a key to solve migrant workers' employment issue, should be considered as a key point in a long-term process of improving policies, regulations and innovation.

The private economy had undergone transformations in ten aspects during the 11th five-year period. It had stood the half of the gross national economy, which was benefited from implementing the laws and regulations in a fairer manner. However, the private economy still arouses four kinds of controversy in social opinions and its development is likely to encounter three obstacles.During the 12th five-year period, the development of the private economy will present eight trends and it will hold two-thirds of the gross national economy.Powerful measures will be undertaken in six aspects to truly foster a fairer competitive economic environment,so that the private economy will play the role of an endogenous engine to make greater contribution to the social and economic prosperity.
