摘要/Abstract

摘要： 本文基于超级指数和可变偏好效用函数方法构建了1997—2011年中国城镇各收入阶层家庭食品消费生活成本指数，并在此基础上将各阶层生活成本指数与其消费者价格指数进行对比，检验消费者价格指数对生活成本的反映能力。样本期间内消费者价格指数与生活成本指数比较接近，可以较好地反映生活成本的变化。基于超级指数方法的结果显示，样本期间内替代偏差与家庭收入负相关，与通货膨胀正相关，而由于偏好改变所造成的偏差在绝对值水平上则与收入水平正相关。

Abstract: Based on Superlative index and variable preference utility function methods，this paper constructs the food cost of living index (CLI) of Chinese urban residents of different income level from 1997 to 2011 and checks the accuracy when the consumer price index (CPI) is used to approximate the change in living costThis paper finds that the difference between CPI and CLI is quite trivial empirically in the sample period，although it is significant theoreticallyFurthermore，this paper finds that the substitution bias of CPI from CLI based on Superlative index is negatively related with family income，but positively related with inflation rateThe absolute level of the bias caused by preference variation is negatively related with family income
