    Our rapid growth of GDP in 2003 is the refreshed and compensated growth, and on the elemen-tary phase of economic expansion, so overall, it is not overheating. Chinese macroeconomic policies should bestable and continuous, should avoid the "speed-pursuing" in the planning economy time changing into "speed-scared" in the market economy time and non-rational recession. During the early period of the extension in2003-2004, China should keep on taking the mild demand-expanding policies, and establish the macroeconomicpolicy system focusing on increasing the domestic investment demand.

    From the point of investment, with higher capital-labor ratio and higher labor productivity thanthe low-end sectors, the high-end sectors have more outputs and profits. So, in market economy, investmentwill naturally concentrate on the high-end sectors, and this will result in the imbalanced growth of industrialstructures and income structures. From the point of consumption, higher income will increase higher-level de-mand, with the bandwagon effect to other income class. In a word, with different income level and populationscale, different consumption structures will affect the growth of the high-end sectors.

    Proper investment on technological improvement is helpful for not only economic growth, but al-so the transformation of economic structures. By analyzing the investment on technological improvement since1978, including scale changes, performances, and optimizing the investment ratio, and by predicting the scaleduring the 10th 5-year-plan, this paper shows that the investment on technological improvement is very impor-tant for our economic growth. It also points out that to upgrade the industrial structure, we must increase theratio of investment on technological improvement, which can be achieved by adjusting the investment structures.

    In 1980, based on overall cost leadership, differentiation, and focus, Porter put forward the ba-sic competitive strategy model that only the firms pursuing overall differentiation can win. Based on game theo-ry, this paper will establish a "new basic competitive strategy model" that non-differentiation would make firmslost by the "imitability trap" while their pursuing the overall differentiation competitive strategy.
